Can I be forced to have an abortion?
No! According to Ohio law, you cannot be forced to have an abortion. In fact, abortion facilities are required to post a “No One Can Force You to Have an Abortion” notice in their facility. The notice instructs women not to sign a consent form and to tell the clinic personnel if they are being forced to have an abortion.
Also noteworthy, Ohio law requires that women be offered the opportunity to see active ultrasound images and even be offered a printed picture of the image if ultrasound is used prior to or during an abortion. For more information, see the Facts of Life – Ohio Law page from Ohio Right to Life.
