Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise approximately 15 student employees, assist patrons, coordinate with the faculty on reserves, and close the library. Process EZ borrow books (a form of interlibrary loan), run assorted reports, and troubleshoot a variety of issues that occur when there is no reference librarian available (as the Evening Circulation Supervisor, that is approximately half my shift).  Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, student, and community members

Graded papers, answered student queries, and assisted the professor in his teaching responsibilities

Provided customer service, cash control, and product knowledge in a high pressure environment.  In charge of ordering the beer, wine, and liquor and also trained the bar staff.  Bartending provided the flexibility and income to earn my first Masters degree

Responsible for several stores in both New York City and Northern New Jersey. Because I was usually sent to improve “troubled stores,” responsibilities focused on cutting shrinkage, improving customer service, hiring and training staff, and managing loss prevention

In charge of all aspects of five video stores in a district manager capability. Ordered all films for the stores. Handled merchandising, displays, and training of the staff.  Hired, evaluated, and fired managers and members of the staff

Hired as Assistant Manager, advanced to manager after six months.  Handled all merchandising, inventory control, displays, loss prevention, cash control, and customer service.  Hired, trained, and motivated staff.  Won an award for lowest shrinkage and listed several times as one of the stores with the highest productivity
