In this section of the web site we'll record some of the construction activities we notice. The first lost hedgeline (pictured 27 March 2011) In the early plans Wainhomes indicated that hedgelines would be preserved. This desirable feature was of course changed in their later plans. You can see this on the Comparison attachment on our 50 more houses page (click to link). The lost hedgeline is the northern section of the line running SSE to NNE in the centre of the original (upper) plan. Removal of the hedgeline (to the left of the tree in the picture below) Wainhomes would doubtless argue improves the 'integrity' of their target 150 home site. Hedgelines provide natural landscaping, habitats and corridors for movement for some of the wildlife that might remain in the 'Country Park' that might remain when development ceases.
