Planting Workshop
    KIDS and ADULTS WELCOME to bring in your own containers, or choose one of ours, and plant up your gift large or small.  We'll provide the soil, expertise,  and loads of colorful plants to choose from for purchase.  Have your photo taken with your work of art, and we'll forward it to your email to print and include with your Mother's Day card.  Let us know approximately when you're arriving, and we'll make sure there's a workspace for you.  Contact Trish at (585) 223-1222, xz100 or trish@waysidegardencenter.com

 Container Gardening with Mary Moss-Sprague   -  Master Gardener, Wayne County Cornell Cooperative Extension  

      Mary Moss-Sprague, a CCE master gardener volunteer and author of the new book  Stand Up and Garden, being published by Countryman Press, will be here to give a presentation on her totally-off-the-ground gardening techniques.  Stand Up and Garden includes all of the details and supply lists needed for growing vegetables in containers and in her unique straw-based raised beds; Mary's own composting techniques, and more.   It also explains how to set up micro-drip irrigation and use weed barrier fabric in vegetable gardening.
