Welcome to Wayne County 4-H!

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadershipcitizenship and life skills!

4-H is the youth development education program of Penn State Cooperative Extension.  It is a non-formal education program for youth between the ages of 5 and 19.
Although 4-H had its beginnings in rural America, 4-H now reaches youth audiences and adult volunteers from urban areas and suburban communities, as well as from rural farm and non-farm settings.

WHO can join 4-H?

Any youth between the ages of 5 and 18 as of January 1 of the current year may participate in 4-H in Wayne County.

WHAT do 4-Hers do?
A wide variety of activities await you when you become a 4-H member or adult leader.  Since 4-Hers learn by doing, everyone has fun exploring the possibilities in a club or with a project in an area that interests them.  The club and project areas include a community service component, introducing youths to getting involved; making a difference.
4-H members are active in a wide variety of programs and projects that are available in categories such as Animal Sciences, Citizenship & Civics, Healthy Lifestyles, Family & Consumer Sciences, Leadership and Personal Development, Diversity, Communications and Expressive Arts, Science and Technology, Environmental and Earh Sciences and Plant Sciences.
