Waverley Harriers is a small and friendly running club based in the Godalming and Farncombe area of Surrey, just south of Guildford. The club has runners of all abilities - from recreational runners looking to improve their fitness through to those that run marathons and ultras. We regularly meet for informal training runs in the area and take part in local races. During winter some members run in the Surrey Cross Country series and there is also an active Juniors section for younger runners. See the About page for more detail about the club and how to get in touch.

  • Godalming Jubilee Run - entry now open
The Godalming Jubilee Run on 4th June 2012 (organised by Waverley Harriers) is now open for registration!

This promises to be an exciting event for the town... and for Waverley Harriers. I am particularly pleased to have the full support and organisational backing of Godalming Town Council, Sport Godalming and All About Triathlons.

See the event website for details:

Help us make this event a great success for both Waverley Harriers and Godalming town. Please let me know if you can assist with any of the following:

    • Advance promotion: (everyone can help here!): emails, tweets, posters, social media, schools, at work - please tell everyone you know about this Waverley Harriers race!
    • Marshals: on race day in and around Godalming. It will be necessary to attend a briefing in advance where instructions will be provided. If your friends and family can help out too, please let me know ages and numbers.
    • Helpers: between now and race day, primarily to run and check the route (for any health and safety issues), perhaps help with a leaflet drop.
    • Club promoters: on race day to promote Waverley Harriers to the general public. Ideas welcome! For example - manning a club stand, giving out leaflets or vouchers etc.
    • Runners: it would be great to have as many Harriers as possible to run these races in club colours. Could we get a podium place?

Contact Steve Rogers if you can help, or have any ideas, questions or feedback.
