Every year, as I prepare for another school year, I pray that God will give me the students that He wants me to have. I believe that your children are in my room so that I can teach them something and so that they can teach me something in return. I believe that when I stop learning, I stop growing. As the school year progresses, my prayer changes. I pray that your children are better Christians and better people because they have been in my class. I want my influence on them to be a positive one.
 Please let me know of special events in your child's life. I like to recognize and attend these events. Ballgames, baptisms, and plays are all great activities for me to attend. Since I have no children of my own, I like to "borrow" yours for the year.
