Congrats to the girls 4x1 relay team, they ran a season best time of 51.95, which puts them in state qualifying position with the 16th fastest time in 4A.
Patrice Harris ran in her first qualifying meet of the season and placed 6th in the 100m dash with a time of 13.20

Note that there is prelims and finals in the 100 and 200.

This week's meet will be our biggest meet yet, as we will be at the Liberty Bell in Littleton.
We will have practice on Friday at 3:30. It is very important to be there so we can prepare for this meet.
You must be at the school at no later than 5:30 a.m. on Saturday,
the bus will leave at 5:45 a.m..Do not be late.

Wasson Track continues to perform, with a great showing at the Panther 2 Panther Invitational
Summary of Results
The Boys won the 4x2 relay with a time of 1:31.65. That is the 5th fastest time in 4A.
Paul Cardozo ran an incredible anchor leg to help put us past Fountain-Fort Carson.
Paul also ran 11.47 in the 100m which puts him very close to the qualifying mark for state.
Tyeshia Celestine-Paloa and Vince Lewis both ran PRs in the 200m dash.
Ty ran a 29.14 last meet and came back to run a 28.38 in this meet.
Vince ran 24.12 and dropped a 23.56, very close to qualifying for state.
Marissa Hooks continues to improve with a time of 13.65 in the 100m, into a 2.8 mph headwind.
The girls 4x1 scored in the meet.
Trevor Brown continues to get closer to the school record in the 300 hurdles with a time of 39.01.

The Boys and Girls track team did a great job at the Glen Peterson Invitational.
Trevor Brown won the 110 and 300 hurdles.
Jon Maestas ran 11.41 in the 100m Dash which ranks him 13th in the 4A state Rankings.
Vince Lewis, Kayla Esquibel, and Marissa Hooks all ran PRs in the 100m Dash.
Paul Cardozo ran a PR in the 200m Dash.
Evan Sterk jumped 20-06.50 in the Long Jump which ranks him 10th in the 4A state rankings.
The girls 4x2 ran very well.

Trevor Brown made Honorable Mentioned Peak Performer in the Gazette for his performance in the Pikes Peak Invitational.

Speed Track and Field Informational Meeting is Coming up
Check the 'Summer Track' link from in the T-Bird Pride menu on the left
Congrats to Trevor Brown for posting the best time in the 110 hurdles in 4A at the Pikes Peak Invitational on Monday. His time was 14.81.
He also won the 300 hurdles and is ranked 2nd in 4A for that event!
The Boys 4x1 placed third with a season best 43.51, which is the second fastest time in 4A so far.

The whole team had a strong showing at the Pikes Peak Invitational. This was just a preview. Stay Tuned.
