Get Involved

It's easy to get involved with Habitat for Humanity! The very first thing you should do is join our mailing list. We'll send you campus chapter updates as well as volunteer opportunities throughout the semester.

If you enjoyed volunteering with us and/or want to get more involved, then join a committee! We have two committees:

Advocacy & Education Committee
This committee organizes and executes the education and advocacy parts of our chapter. Education is informing people about what Habitat does and substandard housing in general. Advocacy is using information to make some kind of change. This can either be in people’s mind, in government, or in the way other organizations run them. Responsibilities include: organizing education and advocacy-related events such as brining speakers to campus, or planning World Habitat Day, working with other social groups on campus like Feed St. Louis and ASAP, and organizing Act! Speak! Build! Week in the spring.

Fundraising Committee
This committee is dedicated to raising money on both a campus and corporate level for our Chapter. This money allows us to secure build dates and donate to international affiliates. The committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and volunteering at various events such as car washes, bake sales, Trivia Night, Wash U Build challenge, letter writing campaigns, and many more. We also work to find corporate sponsors locally in St. Louis and nationally.
