Pre-Orientation Website
New to the pre-orientation program for the Class of 2012, the Washington University Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is very excited to introduce a program that integrates building with Habitat for Humanity St. Louis, social awareness activities regarding poverty and substandard housing, and community building on campus and within the greater St. Louis area. We will be learning about the campus, the city, and each other while focusing on educating ourselves about important social issues and busting out the tools to help construct affordable and safe homes with Habitat St. Louis. Whether or not you have done Habitat for Humanity in the past, this program is a great opportunity to get involved in Habitat as well as advocacy activities aimed at eliminating poverty in St. Louis and around the world. The Habitat pre-O will include such activities as spending a morning learning about the struggles of homeless members of the St. Louis community, volunteering in the Habitat for Humanity’s Re-Store, building with Habitat for Humanity St. Louis, and discussing such important issues as substandard housing and poverty in the our community. This program introduces a truly unique experience based on Habitat for Humanity but also dedicated to building our Wash. U. community, the St. Louis community, and the greater worldwide Habitat for Humanity community!
