Team members include Jerry Pitts, Nathan Morehead, Kathy Kindhart, Jon Mackey, Tony Mettler, Mike Barry and Ed Orr. The Falcons are coached by Don Orr and Tony Stotler.
The Falcon B team earned second place in the tournament
Team members include Katy Palmer, Keith Bowman, Valena Orr, John Whittaker, Jeremy Orr, Jessica Stephenson, Joyce Barry, and Dawn Skees. Coaches are Don Orr and Tony Stotler.

April 5- Urbana
Swimming distict competition took place today. The team is coached by Katy Darrah. Warren County had five swimmers competing.
Katy Palmer brought home gold medals in 25m freestyle and the 100m individual medley. Tony Mettler placed second in two events, Joyce Barry received fourth place, Nathan Morehead placed second, and Ed Orr received third place. The relay team of Barry, Mettler, Orr, and Morehead placed second in the 4 x 25 relay.

March 14-15 - Normal
The A basketball team participated in the state basketball tournament. They placed third earning a bronze medal.
Team members include Tony Mettler, Nathan Morehead, Jerry Pitts, Coach Don Orr, Mike Barry, Jim Hathaway, Ed Orr, Mike Nelson, and Tom Stansbury.
Also participating at state were Nancy Bersted, Rebecca Carter, and Bernie Troutwine. They participated in the Individual Skills Competition. Nancy placed fourth, Rebecca was third, and Bernie won first place.

February 15- Monmouth College
Warren County Special Olympics basketball players were invited by Monmouth College Girls Basketball coach Melissa Bittner to join the Lady Scots for practice. The Falcons participated in drills and scrimmages while having fun with the Lady Scots.

January 25- Dunlap
Basketball Districts. The B team brought home a third place finish. Earning a trip to the State tournament, the A team won first place.
Team members include Nathan Morehead, Jerry Pitts, Tony Mettler, Mike Barry, Tom Stansbury, Eddie Orr, Mike Nelson, and Jimmy Hathaway.

February 8- Monmouth
Basketball Individual Skills Competition. Six Falcons participated in the competition held at the Warren County YMCA. Athletes competed in dribbling, shooting, and passing drills. Rebecca Carter, Bernie Troutwine, and Nancy Bersted won gold and will advance to the State Competition at Illinois State University in Normal. Also participating were John Whittaker, Suzanne Pitts, and Joyce Barry.

December 14- Rock Island
The annual Area 4 Bowl-a-thon saw several Falcons participate. Each bowler received a minimum of $50 in donations to compete in the Bowl-a-thon.

December 7- Soldier Field/Chicago
A few BRAVE Falcons traveled to Chicago to see the Bears play the Jaguars. The Bears did not disappoint as they defeated Jacksonville 23-10.

December 6- Peoria
It's taken three years for the return of the state bowling tournament (weather has cancelled the last two tournaments). Warren County sent two 4-person teams and a 2-person team to compete. Rebecca Carter and Jeremy placed fourth. The team of Joyce Barry, Mike Barry, Valena Orr, and Eddie Orr took third place. Placing second was the team of Keith Bowman, Jon Mackey, Nancy Stevens, and Richard Stevens.

October 26- Rockford
Warren County Special Olympics brought two volleyball teams to the State Tournament. The B team put up a valiant effort to finish with a second place finish. Our A team volleyed to a first place State Championship for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to both teams on a great season.

October 12- Rock Island, IL
Several Falcon bowlers participated in the District Bowling tournament in Rock Island. We had two teams that won gold: Nancy Stevens, Richard Stevens, Keith Bowman, and Jon Mackey. The second team included Eddie Orr, Valena Orr, Joyce Barry, and Mike Barry. Two doubles teams (Rebecca Carter and Jeremy Orr) (Cinda and Tom Stansbury) placed first. The following individuals won gold medals: Eric Leutger, Nick Ferguson, Ron Swan, Cody Mecum, Tina Walker, Mike Brennan, Dawn Skees, Missy Greenstreet, and Norma Brinker. Placing second were: doubles team of Tony Mettler and Teresa Myers, Jim Hallstrom, Bernie Troutwine, David Conard, Mavis Henderson, Ashton Anderson, and Kathy Kindhart. Individuals receiving bronze medals were: Chris Bowers, Susie Olsen, Angie Ford, Sally McVey, and Jane Hottle. Also participating and receiving 4th, 5th or 6th place include: Nathan Morehead, Alantis Mortensen, and Richard Miller.
Bowlers receiving gold will advance to the Sectional Bowling Tournament on November 9 at Landmark Lanes in Galesburg.

September 20- LaSalle, IL
The Warren County Falcons brought two teams to the volleyball qualifer held in LaSalle. Both teams won gold and qualified for the State Tournament in Rockford on October 25 and 26.
The B team consists of Keith Bowman, John Whitakker, Dawn Skees, Jessica Stephenson, Jeremy Orr, Joyce Barry, Valena Orr, and Katy Palmer.
The A squad consists of Nathan Morehead, Kathy Kindhart, Eddie Orr, Tony Mettler, Jon Mackey, Jerry Pitts, Mike Barry, and Nick Ferguson.
Below is one of our finest chaperones,Jean Kindhart, watching a game. As you can tell, it was a long day. But well worth it once we were finished.

July 26- Springfield, IL
Our Falcon's softball team traveled to Springfield to take part in the District tournament. The first game was a loss to SOAR in which the Falcon bats could not come alive. However in the second game, the Falcons came to life and beat C U At the Plate for third place. Team members include Tom Stansbury, Kathy Kindhart, Jerry Pitts, Jeremy Orr, Nathan Morehead, Jon Mackey, Mike Barry, Valena Orr, Eddie Orr, Nick Ferguson, Keith Bowman, Dawn Skees, and Jessica Stephenson. The Falcons are coached by Don Orr and Tony Stotler.
June 13-15 - Normal, IL
The campus of Illinois State University hosted the State Track & Field and Aquatics meet.
First place finishers were led by Nancy Bersted and Rebecca Carter, each receiving two gold medals each. Bersted participated in the 100 meter walk and softball throw. Carter competed in the 50 meter run and standing long jump. Other first place finishers included Mike Brennan (10 meter assisted walk), Cody Mecum (25 meter wheelchair race), Sally McVey (softball throw), Eddie Orr (100 meter run), Valena Orr (standing long jump), and Katy Palmer (25 meter freestyle swim).
Three athletes received a silver medal in the 50 meter run. They are Nathan Morehead, Jeremy Orr, and Valena Orr. The remaining second place finishers were Joyce Barry (100 meter walk), Kathy Kindhart (100 meter run), Eddie Orr (standing long jump), Katy Palmer (100 individual medley swim), Jerry Pitts (3000 meter walk road race and 400 meter walk), John Whittaker (standing long jump) and the 4x100 meter relay team, consisting of Jessica Stephenson, Dawn Skees, Valena Orr, and Kathy Kindhart.
Third place finishers included Mike Barry (100 meter run), Candace Dellitt (softball throw), Nathan Morehead (50 meter run), Jeremy Orr (standing long jump), and Dawn Skees (50 meter run).
Warren County rounded out the games with the following finishes. Jon Mackey with a fourth place finish in the standing long jump and seventh place in the shot put. Carol Rudow received fourth place in the softball throw. Dawn Skees placed sixth in the softball throw. Jim Hallstrom was sixth in his softball throw competition. Cody Mecum finished fifth in the softball throw. Nick Ferguson threw for a fourth place ribbon in the softball throw. Mike Barry ran to a sixth place finish in the long jump. Kathy Kindhart received fifth place in the shot put.

May 3- Sunnylane Field was the site of the District track and field meet. The Falcons braved the cold and wind to have 22 out of 32 athletes win gold medals to advance to the State track meet in Normal.
