My first encounter with PPz30 happened when I was still playing with La Muerte , we were playing a gig in the "Halles de Schaerbeek" to support Jacques "Ponpon" de Pierpont's radio program "Rock à Gogo" (29/10/1993: VIVA ROCK A GOGO). There I saw Eric Lemaître, with whom I played in Contingent, playing...trumpet with his left arm in a plaster. He had a severe injury while working with glass and had most of his forearm tendons severed! He was recovering with patience and a busy surgery planning. So, PPz30 was the rythm section of Eric's last band Walpurgis Volta (Phil on drums and Joe on Bass) with an incredible frontman, sweating, shouting, laughing, miming and sometimes singing: Bruce Ellison, and a new guitar player: Jean-Luc Guillot. to be continued...
