Images of Wallingford

This is a brief history of some of the major events that shaped Wallingford, Oxfordshire,  and the characters and the buildings involved. It is mainly designed as a way of reaching some of the many history and local studies resources that are available on the web, including the Wallingford - Burh to Borough Project, and to highlight the value of physical resources such as Wallingford Museum, and the many books, stories, academic studies, historic documents and databases. Find out more about Wallingford churches, historic buildings, important sites, pubs, schools, and businesses. We'd be happy to make additions and corrections - like all history it's a work in progress! - please contact us via our email
