TOUR 1
Central City Tour
This is Peter's most popular tour, and the best introduction to Portland.

Tour Length: Approximately three hours

Description: This tour focuses on the best of Downtown Portland's art, architecture, urban parks and fountains. Along the way, Peter tells lots of anecdotes that help bring the city's history to life. You'll be amazed by the beauty and diversity of Downtown Portland. During the tour, you'll be sure to see:

Historic Old Town

Tour Length: Approximately three hours
Total Walking Distance: About one mile
 

Description: This tour explores Portland's beginnings, with stops at the city's most historic sites. You'll also see a diversity of architecture, magnificent art work and gorgeous fountains. During this walk, you'll also visit four beautifully restored historic hotels.
 

On this fun and entertaining tour, you'll encounter:

  • The longest Roman Numeral under 2000, carved in stone

Here. you'll learn the stories behind the architecture and you'll see the beauty of restored hotels and landmarks dating back to the 19th Century. TOUR 3
Bridge Loop Walk
 

Tour Length: Approximately three hours
Tour Distance: Approximately three miles
 

Description: This fun and exciting tour will take you to beautiful green spaces along both banks of the Willamette River, and will include walks over four Portland bridges. Along the way, you'll see innovative art works, and you'll visit several historic sites.
On this walk, you'll see:

  • A tortoise and hare, carved in stone.
  • The beautiful and poignant Japanese American Historical Plaza
  • Friendship Circle
  • A crown, a wing and a fortress
  • Historic Union Station
  • An artwork called, "The Driver's Seat."
  • An unusual pedestrian sky bridge
  • The only vertical lift telescoping bridge in the world
  • North America's longest floating walkway

Cultural District, Portland Streetcar & Pearl District

Walking distance: Approximately one mile
Description: This fun and entertaining tour in Portland's west end will take you from one of the city's most historic and most beautiful locations, the South Park Blocks, to the rapidly changing and trendy Pearl District. Along the way, you'll ride the new Portland Streetcar, you'll visit the renovated Central Library to discover its hidden art, and you'll see the city's newest park.
On this tour, you'll encounter:

  • Teddy & Abe
  • The Peace Plaza
  • The "Fool the Eye" mural
  • An elm tree inscribed in stone, and 100 elms more than 100 years old
