Welcome!

The purpose here to create a container of tech support info, mostly on the Apple platform, that I've accumulated over the past 5 years at Stanford's School of Education. I hope you find this useful.

I was using a Mac mailing list a couple of years ago, but each year the list became more and more out-of-date. Some efforts to update the list were challenging with increasing numbers of Mac users. This became quite apparent a year ago when several Master students arrived in May with Mac questions, and I realized that we'd never met, and the answers to their questions could have saved them some time and effort. Hopefully, these FAQs will be able to address some of your questions. Your feedback is welcome! Please email me, using the link at the bottom of the page (for SPAM reasons <dot> and <at> are used). Your questions & suggestions may help create a new entries for these FAQs!

Please use the Find command to see if a particular issue has been addressed. Most of the content here will be copied & pasted from previous tech support emails. So there's a chance that text may appear clipped at times. Again, please send feedback (via email) if anything is unclear.

Your feedback and suggestions will be honored, as much as possible. I hope you enjoy these FAQs and find them helpful!
