Contest Rules & Information
The contest is open to the individuals, organizations, families, businesses, schools.
The Entry fee is $5.00. This entry fee will go to the Wainfleet Agricultural Society.
Scarecrow frames will be available to purchase, if you need one with instructions for $10.00.
You can use your own frame, some are made from tree branches.

Categories:
Traditional Scarecrow: resembles scarecrows that have bee in fields or gardens for centuries.
Whimsical Scarecrow: whimsical character made of any material. (ie teacher, fisherman, animal, scarecrow).
Best use of Fair Theme: The scarecrow which depicts the best use of Sunflowers
We ask that you make your scarecrow free standing if possible.
Scarecrows must be in good taste.
Scare crows that reflect political, controversial or religious themes will not be accepted . We reserve the right to remove any scarecrow that does meet the standards.
Scarecrows are to be completed and in place by Thursday September 22, 2011.
Give your scarecrow a name.
Scarecrows must be on display for the entire fair, each entrant is responsible for taking down their scarecrow.
Cash prizes will be awarded Saturday evening.
NEW: Scarecrow will be judged by Ontario Agricultural Society Judge this year.
All scarecrows will be displayed in the arena.

The Wainfleet Fair is not responsible for loss or damage to entries at any time before, during or after the fair dates.
One entry per person, family, or organization.
Judging will be done by OAS judge this year.
Prize money will be available when you pick up your scarecrow, so please come and find me on Saturday night.
We would like a picture of you with your scarecrow for the website
Winners and photos will be available on fair website.
