  • Project Manager and Principal Investigator for project DeStenEE (Design of Medical Stent Implants for Enhanced Endurance and Flexibility), in collaboration with INCCI, Luxembourg and ENSTA, France. Competitive funding, approx. 750'000 USD total budget. Ratio of contribution to project definition and proposal writing: 100%.
  • Involved to different degrees in other research projects.

Professional experience 

Starting May 2007

R&D Engineer, Luxembourg.

July to October 2003

Implemented a "shape memory" 3D thermomechanical model in the finite element code "Castem" . In close collaboration with the National Center for Space Studies (Cnes) and with the Mechanics of Solids Lab. (LMS) of Ecole Polytechnique. Funded as part of a contract with Cnes. 

April and June 2003

Developed an inverse-problem based code for determining mechanical material properties across the surface of a rail section using data from micro-indentation experiments. Funded by the French National Railways Society (SNCF).

April to July 2002

Modelled swell at the Beirut port. My graduation project at the Faculty of Engineering in Beirut. In collaboration with Port of Beirut.

July to September 2001

Training at Trans Mediterranean Airways (TMA) in Beirut.
