Board Meeting:  1/26

This month’s board meeting will be held on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00 pm.  All are welcome to come and help plan the club events! 

Girls Night Out:  1/20

This month's GNO will be at a member's home of on Friday January 20, at 7 pm. Please plan to bring an appetizer, 

dessert, or wine.   

February GNO will be a Chocolate Treat themed party at a member's home. The date will be announced in the next newsletter.

Winter Craft:  1/25 - Scrapbooking

In January, let’s kick off the year by getting our photos in order for scrapbooking. Bring your photos (digital and/or paper) and scrapbooking supplies Wednesday, January 25 from 4 PM until 8 PM (come one, two, three or all four hours).  File folders and basic hard tools available.  There is no cost for this event.  Healthy snacks are welcome. 

   

Family Events:  2/11 – Valentine Craft

In February, a member will be hosting a Valentine craft at her home in Rutland on Saturday, Feb 11 at 2 pm.  We’ll have a variety of crafts for kids ages 2 to 10.  Cost to participate is $ 6 per child. 

Book Club: 1/17 – The Awakening

This month, the book club will be discussing The Awakening by Kate Chopin.  Nancy Blomstrom will be hosting at her home on Tues, Jan 17. The February book will be Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese.  Nancy Jasgur will host on Tuesday, 2/28.  

Second Book Club

In January, Susan Warren will coordinate a first meeting of the group, which will be open to both members and trial members.  The book will be the same one that was read by Book Club 1 in December (Shelter Me by Juliette Fay). It will probably be at Il Forno on a Wednesday or Thursday night.  If you’re interested, please email Susan Warren at musicrx65@aol.comand let her know which days & times (possibly mornings or afternoons) would work for you.  At 

the first meeting, participants will set their guidelines for type of material to be read, how the books will be chosen, etc.  Happy reading!

We are currently looking for people who are interested in playing as Bunco subs, as well as people interested in being added to the waiting list for a permanent spot.   We play once a month on a Tuesday, and each member takes a turn hosting once a year.  For more information, please contact Nicole at nmaier@gmail.com
