There are many ways to get involved with the Valley View theater program. Below you will find production and audition dates for the year. We encourage you to browse the other pages of this site to learn more specifics of each of the productions and other ways to get involved with theater at VVMS.
Please note that MANY notices go out to students via this website, school announcements, notifications at school Get Acquainted day and emails (once casts and crews have been established). Edina district has a no-cut policy for middle school extrcurricular activities. All students who desire to particpate in drama, will be given a role to play. If your student misses the audition/application due dates for any given show, every effort will be made to provide
him/her with a role to play whether that be on crew or in the cast.
Fall Play - Alice in Wonderland The fall play is open to all 8th and 9th graders. Current 8th and 9th grade students interested in auditioning should prepare a 1-minute poem of their choice. Students may also be asked to read a few short lines from the play. **If you are interested in stage managing ANY show this year, please contact the director personnally ASAP.

There is also a matinee performance on Saturday, April 14th at 1:00 (two performances on Saturday).
Crews: There are many opportunities for students who prefer to 'do 'behind-the-scenes' work on the show. Crew applications will be taken the week of auditions or shortly thereafter. Based on experience, students will be invited to participate on a particular crew. We will try to honor crew requests, but please note that there are only a certain number of people who can actually participate fully on any given crew. You may not get to serve on the crew of your first choice. Preference will be given to those who meet the application due dates. Traditionally crews do not begin their full time work until about the beginning of March when we move into our perfroming theater space, EPAC. We ask for your patience as we put our crews together and to work.
