The Von Steuben Baseball Parent Club was initiated in 2005 to assist the baseball team in fundraising.  There is no money in the Von Steuben budget for the athletic programs, therefore aggressive fundraising is required to run a successful program.  All money is generated from athletic fees and donations.  Each player is required to pay a fee of $300, plus the school sports fee.  The Parent Club organizes a number of fundraisers to offset the individual player fees as well as some special events to raise money for the team.   Some fundraisers include: Taffy Apples, candy, Parents Night Out, Magazine sales, Jewel shopping days, solicitation letters.  (See Fundraisers link for current fundraisers.)

Communication is essential, so please download and complete the contact form attachment below.  Complete the form and email it to cindykukla@sbcglobal.net, or send it with your son to Coach Cott.  Most communication is done through email, and hopefully through this website, so it is important that every player has a current, completed form on file to ensure everyone receives information or news.  Your input is a valued and necessary component of the Parent Club, so please answer all the questions and include any comments and/or suggestions. 

Prior to the 2006 season, the teams had to travel several miles to their "home" fields.   In the fall of 2005, due to the tireless efforts of a number of parents, coaches, and players, along with Matt Specht, the NEIU Director of Campus Recreation, the Panthers and NEIU formed an alliance.  Since Spring of 2006, the Von Steuben Panthers have had the privilege of calling the Northeastern University field home.  

The baseball fee is $300, plus $100 for a school sports fee.  (1st sport per student / per year is $100, each additional sport is $25.)
