Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books

We are changing sites to: Vonsbooks.com, and should have that site fully up and running in a while, with all of the newest books. Set your browser there.

I have long wanted to be an author. I write books in my spare time. But getting them published seems impossible. Luckily, there are websites.

Our site is dedicated to providing you with free (advertisement supported), Christian on-line reading. Most of our books are here, in the 'Science Fiction and Fantasy' category, because that is most of what I write, and I am the main author. You can find other books on the, um, 'Other books' page. (Real creative, eh?)

Books here are never really finished, but some are more finished than others. We try to tell you if a book is still 'being written'; by which we mean that vast tracts of it have yet to be written. Feel free to read any of it, but don't get mad if you get to chapter 67 and find that the hero is in a bit of a  pickle and we haven't gotten him out of it yet.

We are looking for more authors, editors and illustrators. If you believe that you have work that fits our ethos here, let us know. Advertising revenue is available for your pages.

As with all books, parents are strongly advised to read these books before they allow their children to read them.

No Forwarding Address is quite a different novel, a true coming-of-age story.

Edward, son of rich upper-class parents, ends up shipwrecked on a backwater planet reminiscent of Earth in the Middle Ages. He is taken in by a peasant family and must learn to adapt to a new culture, religion, and work ethic. The culture-shock he experiences serves as a catalyst, helping him grow as an individual into a person worth respecting.

Although classified as science fiction, the actual sci-fi elements are few and far between, as the majority of the story occurs in the aforementioned almost medieval setting, with Edward learning to take care of farm animals and do similar menial work, which he has never had to do before.

The story itself is intriguing, and the plot is solid. While the first few chapters moved a little slowly, the climax of the novel (Edward’s absolutely lowest point) was particularly moving. The ending was perhaps a little predictable, but it was a satisfying conclusion...

Space Academy

(Book being written)

Asteroids

Life among the asteroids could be pretty boring. Until the aliens attacked, that is.

Underwater Ambassador

(Book being written)

When I was a kid everyone always said that by now we would have whole groups of  people living in houses under water. Since science hasn't managed it, maybe I can make it happen in science fiction.

... and to flee out into the stars, planting colonies which they hope will survive and resist the tyranny of their oppressors...

... life is bound to be interesting.
