Players enter final training period

posted Jul 5, 2009 2:12 PM by Volleyball Marathon 2009

After the first three weeks of training, during which the players worked on individual skills and some tactical ones, besides improving their physical fitness through endurance, speed and strength work, it is time now for the players taking part in the Volleyball ghall-Providenza 2009 to be divided into five teams and start working more on teamwork.  The latter is maybe one of the most important ingredients for a successful event, since volleyball is based on such teamwork, and it's very difficult for a team to cope with the stress of these 52 hours if someone decides to work on his own.

Take off.........

It's not just because we're training at the Airmalta Headquarters or because we're practically next door to the Airport.  But finally the training for the 52 Hour Volleyball ghall-Providenza has taken off.  After weeks of preparation by the Organising Committee, 38 players have started their training to prepare for this year's volleyball activity for the Dar tal-Providenza.  Wish us luck........
