DADS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ‘TAKE DAD TO THE DOCTOR DAY’ The Aletha R. Wright Center hosted its third annual ‘Take Dad to the Doctor Day’ on June 19. The ARWC is our men’s shelter in Camden, NJ; the event was designed to connect clients with health care services. “We’re delighted. It was a big success,” said Stephen Williams, Social Services Coordinator at the ARWC. The total number of participants was 107, including 89 consumers, 10 service providers and 8 ARWC staff. The service providers that offered screenings and information were the Adult Partial Care Program (formerly PACE); Camden Eye Care; Camden County Cancer Screening Project; Cooper Early Intervention Program; Cooper University Medical Hospital; Crossroads Partial Care Program; Project Hope; Unity Place; Westfield Family Pharmacy; and Wiley Adult Day Care. “We thank all of the service providers, consumers, visitors and staff who made this event a memorable one,” Williams said. TAKE DAD TO THE DOCTOR DAY: The third annual event at the Aletha R. Wright Center provided 89 consumers with access to 10 health care providers and services, including blood pressure and diabetes screening. |
