LET’S ALL PLAY BALL! Children from our Anna M. Sample Complex and Eleanor Corbett House enjoyed our annual ‘Buses for Baseball’ outing on July 21st at Citizens Bank Park, where they met Phillies players Shane Victorino, Raul Ibanez, and Brad Lidge. The children – and some of our staff members, too - were very excited as they took pictures with the players and received autographs. Our ‘Action Team Training’ was held on the same day at Citizens Bank Park. Team Captains/ members from West Deptford (NJ) High School and Philadelphia Electrical & Technical High School met Shane Victorino, Jimmy Rollins, and J.C. Romero. In addition to autographs and photo opportunities, the students received information from the players about the Action Team program, which is supported by the Major League Baseball Players Trust. |
