She passed safety inspection and got registered and titled! Hooray for permanent metal plates!

Unfortunately on the way home, a mount point on the frame decided to give way.  However, it didn't cause any other damage and she is back safe in the garage awaiting a sunny day for the re-engineering. Pics of before and after soon.

Getting ready for safety inspection.  Had to move the headlights further up near the bonnet as they need to be 24" from the center of the light to the ground. Installed license plate lights. The only concern they might have is the lack of red lenses covering the clear LEDs that emit bright red light for the running and brake lights. The inspection criteria doesn't take into account LED light assemblies.

First road legal trip is made! All that's left is latching the engine cover, running the ignition switch wires to the steering column, and about 10" of exhaust piping to be done by a friend-of-a-friend that welds stainless.  Updated picture as well.

More wiring woes with finding the wiring harness that goes to the gauge cluster is severed.  The fun part is re-doing the 8 necessary connections back to the PCM and fuse block.  Wish me luck!

We are weeks away from having the first car up and running.  All that's left are a few connections to make on the brake system, fuel system, and electrical.  The MAJOR complexities of the altered shifting components where solved with custom made cables and custom fabricated cable brackets.  It now shifts like it did when it was in the Focus.  More updates soon.

What is this thing?
This is a kit car designed by Mills Extreme Vehicles http://www.mevltd.co.uk/ called the Rocket

The drivetrain that is being used for this example is from a 2002 Ford Focus SVT (2.0L I-4 Zetec which stock had 170HP along with the Getrag 6-speed manual transmission)

With very free flowing intake and exhaust, 93 octane gas, a custom tune, and ~1100lbs, the car should scream.

Predictions are 0-60MPH in ~3 seconds, 1/4 mile in ~11 seconds.
