Victoria: Fall Dinghies Regatta

3 boats went to Victoria BC for the annual Fall Dinghies Regatta.  We packed two boats on a trailer and one on top of Greg's truck with the help of Rick's rack (Thanks Rick!)

Saturday was all fog so there was no racing but a good time was had by all who ventured out for an exciting sail beyond the sight of land

Sunday saw difficult conditions ranging from light wind to 25kts or more then back down to 10, then down to nothing at all, then back up to 25+ with rain!  Wind came from every point and half-point on the compass.

The hospitality of the BC fleet was great as always and the city of Victoria is always worth the visit.

3 Sheets has stain on decks and bottom paint!
Varnish slated for this afternoon!


Boat Show

The Portland Boat show is next month.  We are still looking to line up a backup boat if 3sheets is not ready in time.  It will be close.

Greg has finished the skeletal frame for "Trois Voiles aux Vent"
Looks like she gets some skins this week!
Notice the assembly jig in the background is ready to go

Fireball Found in PDX

A home-built Fireball was recently discovered in Portland in the garage of a member of the Oregon Model yacht club.
