I was invited to talk about Zammit's discovery of transmission of brucellosis by goats' milk and several people wished to use the slides for teaching: the slides are 'TZ power pt ppt' and notes for each slide are in 'A History of Brucellosis'.     A paper about Zammit's scientific work is TZ Malta Med J and there is  an editorial about the Zammit 'Museum  Valletta'.   A bibliogrphy of his medical and scientific papers is listed in TZ biblio...
      Caruana Scicluna was a key researcher who helped both Bruce and Zammit.    Shaw was the first person to infect a goat, but did not publish his work ! 

      'A history of brucellosis in Malta and the Mediterranean' is in the on-line Journal of Maltese History http://maltesehistoryonline.com/    A paper on 'Captain Kennedy and the sexual transmission of Brucellosis' relates how he won his Gold Medal from Edinburgh University (wyatt[1].pdf) (See also 'The gut...' below).   Captain Sheldon Dudley RN wrote of inhalation of Brucella .
