Vista del Monte
Palm Springs,CA
Vista del Monte (View of the Mountain) is an authentic 1940's hacienda-style home. The home evokes the romance of early Palm Springs and the history of early California ranches. It is located a stone's throw away from downtown Palm Springs.
The home was restored by San Francisco-based interior designers Candra Scott & Anderson in 2006, which specializes in the restoration of landmark hotels & properties throughout the world . The home has been published in Palm Springs Living and will next appear in Western Interiors and Design Magazine.
The completely refurbished property contains original period pieces. Furnished with authentic vintage pieces from the time; Monterey, Del Rey, Karpen and early Navajo rugs. The original wrought iron light fixtures and original art create an atmosphere that is unique and distinctive. Vintage decorative tiles reclaimed from the Victorville Armory have been used throughout the kitchen, bathrooms and exterior fountains.
The attention to detail not often found in a rental property, usually in a five-star hotel. The property has three bedrooms (one king, one queen and two twin beds) and wonderfully appointed bathrooms containing Waterworks fixtures and Molton-Brown bath products. The property is large enough to sleep six, yet intimate enough for a romantic hideaway for two.
The backyard invites one to lounge underneath grape covered arbors, relax in the saline pool, or enjoy playing a lively game of Bocce on the regulation size (10' x 60' court).
