How do I achieve weightl loss? How do I achieve physical fitness? These are questions that each person, who desires to better themselves, struggles with. Weight loss and fitness are not only about fitting into that pair of jeans that you wore back in college, they are about your health and well-being. There is no time like the present to start taking charge of you health, and only YOU have the ability to do that!
Everyday we are bombarded by advertisements for the quick fix to weight loss, pills that promise dramatic results with no effort what soever! Losing weight seems to be more and more complicated as you hear about each new way to achieve your goal.
Truthfully weight loss comes down to some basic math, less calories in+ more calores out= weight loss! So how do we achieve this?
Let's say an average woman who does not work out burns about 2,000 calories per day. But in the coarse of the day she consumes;
2 pieces of toast with butter and jelly= 450 calories
1 tall whole millk latte= 400 calories
1 chicken burger with fries and soda = 1,200 calories
1 handful of M&M's= 350 calories
2 pieces of pizza=900 calories
1 glass of white wine=300 calories
total=3,600 calories
At this rate the woman will be gaining weight at a rate of 1,600 calories per day, which over 3 days would equal one pound of weight! See how easy it is to gain weight?
Now let's look at what she can change and do to LOSE weight in a reasonable way!
2 pieces of whole wheat toast with light butter and reduced sugar jam=300 calories
1 small nonfat latte with sugar free vanilla= 90 calories
1 small apple=100 calories
1 salad with fat-free dressing and grilled chicken and diet soda=350 calories
30 min walk during lunch break= extra 350 calories burned!
1 small banana= 100 calories
1 Lean Cuisine pizza dinner= 350 calories
1 small glass of wine=200 calories
2 pieces of dark chocolate= 90 calories
Total calories=1,580 PLUS she walked for 30 minutes and that burned an extra 350 calories for the day! So at this rate she could reasonable lose 1 lbs a week!
See how easy it could be? All it takes it forming a eating plan, STICKING TO IT, and encorporating excerise into your daily routine. As you progress in your weight loss plan, you can add more exercise, encorporate different types of excercise and maybe even begin to work out at a gym!Anyone can develop a weight loss plan, and anyone can begin to excercise, it just depends on what works with your life and your schedule.
That is where I, Jessica, can come in to help. I offer my services as a virtual trainer and mentor, I help clients develop eating plans/lists that work for them, develop excercise stratagies/plans and provide daily answers to questions and guidance as you head down your weight loss journey! Most trainers and gyms charge exhorbent amounts of money, and sometimes it is worth it, but I believe in helping people reach thier goals in realisitic ways. And means by spending realistic sums of money! I charge $100 per month, so if you goal is to lose weight for an event in one month or to lose weight over 6 months, you only pay according to how long you need mentoring.
