Education Affiliation

V.C.A. is a member of the Alabama Christian Education Association(ACEA) and the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). V.C.A. is recognized in the community of public, private, and government school organizations, and has a reputation of having a quality educational program. This recognition has been earned over the years since V.C.A. began, by quality students who have attended and graduated, along with the quality of our school staff and the leadership of the pastor. V.C.A. has been awarded Accredited model status by ACE School of Tomorrow, whose headquarters is in Lewisville, Texas, many of the years since beginning operation.

Awards and Awards Requirements

    Trophies highlight the Annual Awards Banquet held each spring. Students compete during the year to attain these awards.

1. Scripture Memorization Award Requirements:
  1. Memorize all monthly scripture assignments by the last school day of each month.
  2. Must be recited at school, to supervisor of their Learning Center, Note: Students who enter V.C.A. during the school year who memorize all monthly scriptures on time, after entering V.C.A., memorize all past scriptures of the present school year, may qualify for the scripture memorization award.
 2. A Honor Roll Award Requirements:
  1. Complete and pass the fifteen paces as prescribed for each of the four quarters of the current school year.
  2. Achieve a 94% Pace average or higher, each of the four quarters.
  3. Memorize all monthly scriptures in prescribed time limits.
3. B Honor Roll Award Requirements:
  1. Complete and pass the fifteen Paces as prescribed for each of the four quarters of current school year.
  2. Achieve an 87% or higher Pace average each of the four quarters.
  3. Memorize all monthly scripture in prescribed time limits.
4. "A" Privilege Award Requirements:
  1. Maintain an "A" Privilege every week of the school year.
5. "C" Privilege Award Requirements:
  1. Maintain a "C" Privilege every week of the school year.
6. "E" Privilege Award Requirements:
  1. Maintain an "E" Privilege every week of the school year.
7. Perfect Attendance Award:
  1. Be present EVERY school day.
  2. No tardies.
  3. No leaving before the school day ends. (exception if the classes are dismissed early.)
8. Highest Pace Average (Each Learning Center)
  1. Must have attended for the full school year.
  2. Must have highest Pace average in core curriculum. (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Word Building or high school electives)
9. Most Paces Award (Each Learning Center)
  1. Must have required passing score on each counted pass.
  2. Each Pace number may be counted only once each year.
10. Most Hundreds Award (Each Learning Center)
  1. Only Paces with 100% score.
  2. Pace numbers may only be counted once each year.
11. Christian Character Award
(Junior & Senior High Learning Center 1 Trophy total)
  1. Be a saved student.
  2. Be faithful in Church Attendance.
  3. Be active in Christian Service.
  4. Have a good Christian testimony in and out of Church family.
  5. Be a leader in Christian conduct, attitude, conversation, and influence on others.
12. Good Citizenship Award
(Junior & Senior High Learning Center one trophy total)
  1. Be courteous.
  2. Be respectful.
  3. Be obedient.
  4. Obeys all rules.
  5. Few or no detentions and demerits.
  6. Dependable.
  7. Punctual.
13. School Spirit Award
(Junior & Senior High Learning Center one trophy total)
  1. Enjoys school.
  2. Participates in school functions.
  3. Promotes a positive school attitude.
  4. Doesn't grumble or complain.
  5. Exemplifies the character of a Christian person.
14. Reading Awards (1 Elementary & High School)
  1. Most W.P.M.
  2. Highest comprehension.
15. Golden Apple Award
  1. Students who memorize the Book of Proverbs during the school year.
  2. Must be recited at school to Learning Center Supervisor.
  3. May be recited one chapter at a time.
16. Golden Lamb Award
  1. Students who memorize the Book of John during the school year.
  2. Must be recited at school to Learning Center Supervisor.
  3. May be recited one chapter at a time.
17.  Other Awards
  1. May be given for Music, Fine Arts,  Athletics, as school administration recognizes deserving merits.
