Yuan-Sen Yang is a professor in National Taipei University of Technology. Before serving in the university he was a research associate in the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering since 2000. He received a B.S. from National Chung-Hsing University in 1995, and his Ph.D. from National Taiwan University in 2000. 

His research interests center on image analysis for structural experiments, high-performance computing of nonlinear finite element analysis, and numerical modeling of nonlinear structural dynamics. 

He teaches computer programming, numerical analysis, engineering statistics, engineering materials, structural analysis, structural experiments, parallel computing, scientific visualization, and computer vision and image measurement.
