Vijay S. Jodha
Vijay S. Jodha is a Delhi-based independent photographer, writer and filmmaker. His words and images have appeared in various publications and he has produced two photography books. His photo projects have been showcased in galleries/museums in India as well as in Frankfurt, London, Brussels, New York and Queensland.
As a writer and researcher, Vijay was instrumental in setting up of India’s first artist and writer’s retreat. He learnt filmmaking at New York University and has worked with directors Ang Lee and Mira Nair. He has also worked on television projects for Smithsonian, Discovery, MTV New York, CBS, PBS, Doordarshan and others. Vijay’s films have been screened at a variety of festivals and forums around the world. He was awarded a UK Environment film fellowship in 2005 in what were the very first film series dealing with the impact of climate change in India. Vijay has also been honoured by government of Assam for his efforts to promote eco-tourism through film.
