The two View Royal Squirt C teams brought home some hardware from Sooke this past weekend. The Killer Bee Force team finished off a great tournament by beating Sooke in the final and claiming the gold while the Eagles beat Langford in the third/fourth game to claim the bronze. Congratulations to the coaches and players on a great weekend!
We had our weeknight practice scheduling tonight. I have added all of the slots that were booked tonight. Any coach can still book one weeknight practice (on their diamond) if they haven`t done so. You can do this by booking online. Just look at the calendar to see if there are slots available. Any team can add a second slot or cage slot one week in advance if available on their diamond.
The field request form has been changed. To maximize evening practice field time, there is now a 1 hour slot from 4:30-5:30 and two 1.5 hour slots from 5:30-7:00pm and 7-8:30pm. This now matches the cage times. We have also fixed a small problem where we were unable to select Red Mites in the clubhouse booking list. Any other issues please contact Ross or Barb.
WORK PARTY - all teams to attend - Saturday March 31 from 10:00-1:00. Show up ready to work. This will also be uniform day.... where players get their uniforms.
Anybody over the age of 12 who would like to become an umpire will need to be registered in one of the upcoming clinics.
Young umpires will be placed in games that are suitable for a learning experience. We will not ask them to work games where they are not yet ready or comfortable. Call Bob Tyler 250-727-6128 or email valahalla1333@shaw.ca

The tournament will be hosted at both View Royal's Centennial Park and Saanich's Hyacinth Park. The host committee is looking for weekend scorekeepers, concession help at View Royal and volunteers to help get the park ready (during the weeknights prior to the championships).
