- Beneficial insects love: thyme and zinnias
- Hummingbirds love red flowers cuz bees don't so, they usually get more nutrients from the reds: antiryhum
multilorum (multi-stemmed snap dragon (in our herb garden), bee balm
(in our herb garden), california fuschia (in the circle), california
lilies: Lilium pardalinum and Lilium humboldtii, cardinal flower,
clarkia, columbine, hollyhock. morning glory, penstemon (in our parking
strip), sage including hummingbird sage, sticky monkey flower
- Bees and butterlies love: alyssum,
coneflowers (in our parking strip), cosmos, catmint (in our herb
garden) and larkspur, Monardella villosa (coyote mint), Penstemon (in
our parking strip).
- Hover Flies love: alyssum, Iberis umbellata, statice, buckwheat, chamomile, parsley, and yarrow.
