Armed Forces Day

Our Great Armed Forces

 Because Of You

You put it on the line for us
We won't forget, you are A-Plus

This country stands because of you
Your service seals red, white and blue

No better troops embrace this earth
Thank God for you, our greatest worth

We pray for you both night and day
God be with you along your way

You wear your uniform with pride
And use your skills, so well applied

The rank you hold does mean one thing
  You're a GI and you are first-string

Be well assured we back you strong
How proud we say 'that you belong'

Without your will - to walk the walk
We'd have no right - to talk the talk

  American Is This Hero

  American is this Hero
  In uniform standing tall

  Ready, willing, and able
To march, the will to face all

  The proudest of our service
  Steadfastly meeting each call

  The bravest of our country
As were those upon The Wall

  Displaying awesome courage
  A treasure you cannot install

  Filled with total commitment
To serve us for the long haul

  America know this Hero
  Thank God and always recall

  For All We Have

A table with chairs, that welcome sight
Our family, our friends, pure delight

A caring kiss with a gentle smile
Each tender hug lasts that country mile

The presence of love so fills the air
This gift of God brings our hearts so near

Reflections of past bring nurtured thought
Great visions come by, what life has taught

In thankful ways we embrace this day
And often think of loved ones away

Those serving us proud are often gone
But their spirit remains, closely drawn

Our Nation should praise each special one
For all we have is through what they've done

The freedom to have Thanksgiving Day
Keeps certain plates bare, please truly pray

  They Keep Us Free

In time of need their will is sure
  American, their freedom pure

  Protect our life and liberty
  Unselfishly, they keep us free

Each soldier knows what is at stake
The risk is grave, there's no mistake

With pride they serve our country strong
They face each foe to come along

Remember them while in your home
Or where you choose to freely roam

Don't take for granted what you see
Some left this life, so it could be

To God I urge you all to pray
For soldier's brave, to face each day

We should be thankful, one and all
For those who march to meet each call

  Roger J. Robicheau

 My Mother's Soldier

I think of her in treasured ways
Of all those years through watchful days

She nurtured me to grow up proud
Now that's a fact I'll shout out loud

Her awesome love wells deep inside
Her magic gift will never hide

I know she thinks of me a lot
She always will, her lesson taught

I thank you God for all she is
My friend, my guide, my total wiz

What does my mother mean to me?
Look in my eyes, she's there to see

My Mother's Soldier, yes I am
While I stand watch for Uncle Sam

Don't ever doubt who is the best
Her care exceeds the toughest test

*****Their Pride Always Shines Through******

My Little Smart Trooper

I'm so proud you're my little smart trooper
You're the best there is, you're just super

How I wish I could stay home with you
I'll sure miss all the things that we do

You will be in my thought night and day
Be real brave for your soldier away

I'll ask God to be real close to you
And I want you to pray to Him too

Tell your friends I have gone to defend
So the freedom we have will not end

That's my job as a soldier you see
I'm so proud I can help us stay free

Now there's one thing I want you to do
When I come back home to see you

Have a big hug just waiting for me
Cause together again we will be

(Dedicated to Little Davey)

Real Heroes

Real heroes wear our uniform
You'll see no numbers, that's the norm

They do not strive to get rich quick
Their mission firm, oh how they click

To serve us faithful is their cause
Determined minds, they'll never pause

Sincere, they love our country true
Sleep well my friends, they serve for you

We sometimes see them on our shore
While others brave a foreign tour

So trained and drilled to do it all
In time of need they'll meet each call

They make a total treasured sight
No finer known, a mom's delight

God hold them safe and keep them well
Till soldiers return home to dwell

*****God Bless Each Red, White, and Blue*****

My Name is GI

My name is GI, I stand for liberty

My commitment is to this country

My home is in The Armed Forces

I do what I must to secure freedom

You must understand I'll never run

My mission is to face all adversaries

My pride is very deeply welled within

My faithfulness to pride bears strength

My strength bears resolve for all I need

Those who would wish harm on my people

Beware of the danger which you could incur

Know that you will not alter the path of my will

My purpose has not changed since the beginning

My determination for keeping freedom is steadfast

My actions will always show what is expected of me

I give tribute to those who stood with me in years passed

And I commend those willing to be with me on this very day

May God be with all those who bore the name I proudly accepted

Their Courage

Their courage deems utmost respect
Their mission clear, our way protect

It's sure to each what they must do
No give or take, keep freedom true

With the grand old flag, they'll unite
Whenever they must, march to fight

A life we know counts hard on them
Without their ranks, hellish problem

If our Armed Forces ceased to be
How long could we survive as free

Let's well realize the truthful score
We need our troops just like before

Boils down to this, words to engrave
Land of The Free, Due to The Brave

God Bless each one for being there
Their loved ones too, unending care

Hope born from love touches the will
Do back them strong, means to fulfill
