Kimberly Dawn has recently become a contributing author to:

 Coffee Cup Friends.

Her life verse is found in Philippians:

"...Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13,14 NASB)

What Others have to say:

"Praise God for your willingness to share with us what God has revealed to you about Who He is and how He desires to touch and change our lives...

May God, the Father of Lights, continue to increase His light in you to shine forth to all those you minister to."

"Thank You once again for coming the distance. I really enjoyed it and so did the rest. One of our elderly ladies made the comment that it was what she needed. She liked your message. You were a blessing in more ways than one.

It amazed me that you struck so many things in my life in your speaking."

About
"the Vertical Connection"...

"...I was having a difficult day and I knew I needed to praise God...I felt God telling me "be still and know, Be still and know" I was obedient and just sat in my recliner listening to the Vertical Connection. It was amazing how you played many songs that touched my heart deeply. These 2 hours were exactly what I needed...I needed to slow down, and drop into Gods arms in a deep quiet way. Yet other moments to be free to worship God in an open, song-filled,  expressive way. Thank you for the MANY blessings I have received from God, thru you!
~ Cathy, Ft. Frances

"...let me say how much I truly enjoy your program.  I love how you are so transparent and don't try to hide your insecurities, it makes me and I'm sure others easy to relate to you, because we all feel like that from time to time... Thank You, and God Bless you for the work you do at the station.  The Lord gave you a wonderful ministry and you encourage so many people--including myself."

 ~ Nicole, Warroad
"...there are so many times that I am in my car listening to "the Vertical Connection" and it touches me right where I need it. Just talking about those times and I feel the spirit move in me and bring tears to my eyes...I have never been given too much encouragement... Thank you for the words, the music, and the prayers."
~Joy, Fort Frances

    Jeannette's Chewy Brownie Cookies

(Need a chocolate fix, give these a try)

    • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed Brown Sugar
    • 2/3  cup Shortening
    • 1 Tbsp Water
    • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups Flour
    • 1/3 cup of Cocoa
    • 1/2 tsp. Salt
    • 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
    • 2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Heat oven to 375.  Place foil on counter to cool cookies on.  Combine: brown sugar, shortening, eggs, water and vanilla in a large bowl.  Beat at medium speed on mixer until blended.

Combine: flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda.  Add to creamed mixture at low speed until blended, then stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons two inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake one sheet at a time for 7 - 9 minutes or until cookies are set. DO NOT OVERBAKE!  Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet then remove to foil to cool completely.  Makes about 3 dozen cookies that are so...chocolately good! (Dawn's comments)
