This section teaches you (provider) how to provide a secure internet connection for a friend (user) who is behind a firewall to bypass filters.
- Download and install freeSSHd (accept all default options)
- When asked "Do you want to run FreeSSHd as a system service", say yes
- Go to Control Panel->Administrative tools->Services, and find "FreeSSHD Service". Make sure this service is running (click on start if enabled)
- Run freeSSHD, right click on its small icon in notification area, and click on "Settings"
- Make sure the "Server status" tab looks like this:

- Now, go to the Users tab. the picture below shows some sample users
- Add a user: choose a login name, chose "Password stored as SHA1 hash" option, chose a password, and check "Tunneling", like picture below. Write down the username and password. You will need to send this to your friend.
- Now, click on OK. Settings on provider's side is done!
- Update [For troubleshooting, try this only if your friend was not able to connect successfully]: It has been suggested by one of our users that "if you are using a router and need to do port
forwarding on the router, you also need to go to the "Tunneling" tab and check "Allow local port forwarding".
