Setting up VLC Player

This page helps you configure VLC Player. VLC Player is similar to Windows Media Player, but it's open source with more configuration flexibility. You can use it to listen to online radios and watch online TVs.
  1. Download VLC Player from here
  2. Install VLC in default location (C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC)
  3. Open command prompt and type cd C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC
  4. Type: vlc.exe --socks=127.0.0.1:1080
  5. On VLC: go to media, open network, and enter the address of the streaming station. For example, the following is BBC's live TV:

    mms://a600.l3944034599.c39440.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/600/39440/v0001/reflector:34599?BBC-UID=84497e4d56024ae568a65d50c107fb6cd0f9738460b0411f424916243b5b609e&SSO2-UID="
