I use a data set or database of terms and expressions to help me get lots of work done with little hardship. You can do the same by learning something new.

The download file (below URL) is quite large, so consider your connection and throughput speed.

The list is available, but it is of only the expanded words, expressions and phrases, not the encoded forms, otherwise known as abbreviations.

NOTE: Link below may NORMALLY take up to 30 seconds to load even on a high-speed broadband connection.

The list are examples of expressions which are found in common English speech. The codes (or abbreviations) I've deployed since 1993 using only Microsoft Word's AutoCorrect feature (similar functionality in WordPerfect)

Exploiting this has made my work physically bearable, less drudgery.

I defined the problem as too many words to type and too long words to type.
So, I identified and abbreviated the longest words and the words most frequently type, and especially their use in phrases.

And the first word I put in the database was "the" Try that for yourself.

Open up Word. Go to the AutoCorrect List. Replace the word "the" with the single letter t (no quotes nothing else).

The word the is the best candidate for a word for the list, because it's frequently used.

To enable keying the single letter t enter tx for the letter t

The US Post Office abbreviation (bigraph) for the 50 United States' names are included in the full list.

Open up Word. Go to the AutoCorrect List. Replace the word "Texas" with `tx
