ABOUT
THE MUSICAL:
Mustard
Seed sees how the preying wolves find the
Sheep and take her with them. The wind whispers to Mustard Seed:
“When a sheep is lost, the Shepherd must leave the others and bring
back the sheep that wandered off”. Mustard Seed decides to go
after the Sheep and bring her back home. During this journey her
determination and faith are tested by busy and quarrelling adults.
The wolves turn out to be mere agents. With the help of the Sower and
the Rocker and strengthened by God’s love, Mustard Seed stands up
to face the Enemy…
Kalliolla
– ON THE ROCK! is a play about a child called Mustard Seed, about
the Enemy, wolves, angels, the Sheep, the
Rocker and the Sower. It is a play about good and evil, about the
greatest love of all, getting lost, finding and being found. It is a
story of growth, a story of becoming rooted on the Rock and of the
power of God’s love.
The
songs of the play are based on the parables of the Kingdom of God
found in the New Testament. It is
recommended to viewers from 7 years of age.
The
language of the musical is Finnish.
