General Tournament Information for Tennis Players 

Please Read Carefully and note underlined material.

Eligibility:

1.      All players must be at least 50 years of age as of Oct. 29th.  Members of each team must be from the same EVSTL park and members of the tennis club they are representing.  EXCEPTION:  An approved combined EVSTL park team will be accepted.

2.      Level of play is defined as the level at which the player will be entered into at the beginning of the 2012-2013 EVSTL tennis season.  This includes park move-ups and self-rating players.

3.      A waiver must be completed and signed prior to your first game at the initial check-in.  (If your first game is played on courts 7 or 8, you can register at those courts.)

Other changes/clarifications to note for the 2012 Tournament:

·         Teams dropping out of the tournament after midnight Oct. 15^th will not have their entry fees refunded.  Please notify Terry at the email above as early as possible to remove your team from the tournament.

·         Please provide your AZ address on the entry form to allow us to expedite your fee refund.

·         Winning teams from past Fall Classic tournaments can return to play with the same partners at the same level providing they play at that level in the 2012-2013 EVSTL season.

·         Substituting team members: 

Notify Terry by email if you substitute one player on your team so that the change can be processed through tournament documents without delay.   If both of the team’s original players must drop out of the tournament, that team will be removed from the tournament and a waiting list team will be entered if available.  Watch the web site for calls for late entries that will occur through the weeks prior to the tournament.

Players substituting on to a team should pay their fee to the player leaving the team.  The tournament treasurer will neither refund to nor receive fees from single players.

·         All entries must be mailed.  Changes to Venture Out security do not permit dropping off your entry in person.  Allow sufficient time for the postal service to deliver the entry by the closing date.  If you anticipate a delivery problem – email Terry.

Information that is specific to a park will be emailed directly to the park rep.  The web site will keep you informed of general tournament information.  Email will be checked regularly and replied to as time and summer schedules allow.
