Classroom Vegetable Garden
Making a vegetable garden is a great classroom activity with many different benefits for your students.  This website brings you through the process of creating a veggie garden with a project-based learning approach using many different steps and activities. This websites included nutritials benefits of different types of veggies, life cycle of a seed and what seeds need to grow, along with soil conditions and climate. It also incorporates tool usage, how to plant and care, and what you need to know for selling your product. In the end the students will sell their veggie that they worked so hard to grow.  There is a link at the bottom of this page to a podcast that describes the process of our gardening project along with standards the project covers.

This is a concept map of a path that can be taken and the different categories that can be explored throughout this project. We used this map to create our website and the different activities throughout.

Here is our path of creation to this project and website.  We used this blog to communicate with each other and remember important information related to our project.  A blog would be a great way to keep in contact with parents, and or students.
