NATIONAL WOMEN'S POLITICAL CAUCUS OF VENTURA COUNTY
The National Women's Political Caucus of Ventura County is a multi-partisan organization established in 1992 in affiliation with the National Women's Political Caucus of California and the National Women's Political Caucus.
MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the National Women's Political Caucus of Ventura County is to unite women from a broad political spectrum and all socioeconomic circumstances, races and generations to increase the participation of women in the political process, and to increase the number of women in elective and appointive office who support women's issues.
We believe that women must take action to unite against sexism, racism, violence and poverty. We will: Ø Rally local support for the campaigns of women candidates who declare themselves ready to fight for the rights and needs of women and of other under-represented groups. Ø Confront our own party structures and, when necessary, cross party lines or work outside formal political parties in support of such women. Ø Work to reform party structure to assure that women of all ages, races and socioeconomic groups have an equal voice in decision-making and selection of candidates at all levels. Ø Raise women's issues in every election. National Women’s Political Caucus P.O. Box 7362, Ventura, CA 93006
