Thanks to Ianiv, we have the ability to create @truenorthmediahouse.com addresses if desired as well as URLs for sites/docs/calendar as subdomains to truenorthmediahouse.com domain.

Now, our immediate goal is to rally up a basic site/CMS - Here are the tasks as i see them with assignments:

2) Set up admin accounts for John & Dave, Editor accounts for Jason (more accts later) - Ianiv (details under separate cover)

3) Set URLs for WP (no date, just post title with hyphens) - John B

4) Set a static page for home page - John B

5) Add static pages placeholders (list below) - John B

6) Add links to Twitter (@tnmh) and other truenorthmediahouse.com tools Calendar. Site. Docs. - John B (notes below)

7) Add copywriting to pages (from wiki) - Dave O and Jason S.

8) Add data as blog posts and blog categories (open letters + articles about TNMH + partial list below. ) - Jason S. & Jeff T.

9) Add contact form - Duane S. (see note below)

10) Twitter - set-up Hootsuite acct. + add editors with initials - Jenn L &/or Nadia

Please chime in to this list to confirm that the list works AND you are willing to complete your tasks above. I plan to set aside Thursday night for working on this but hope that you all proceed independently so i am not slowing up the process.

Audience:

V1 - Immediate

·      Potential sponsors/partners wondering who we are, what this is and what chance we have of success

·      Organizers to collaborate and exchange planning info and organize content

V2 - 3-6 months

·      Potential participants seeking info about how to register, what it is etc.

·      VANOC and IOC doing background checks and compliance recon

V3 - 6-13 months

·      MSM and NPO wondering what the story is

·      Participants seeking practical info about how/where/when etc.

·      Worldwide audience seeking unique content

Characteristics:

    * Ability to be open and collaborative without being a mess

    * Easy edibility as needed with verification of authorship (granular permissions)

    * Growable (can add other features and components as needed)

    * Semantic and accessible ... and translatable?

    * Clean, efficient design with cross browser and mobile capability

Functional requirements:

V1

CMS: a means to organize and manage documents in separate categories/departments  - will be .html often with .pdfs uploaded, updated and exposed for permanent record

·      Connect: means to connect via other channels (twitter/flickr/FB) (page? sidebar?)

·      Conversations: ability to share info and opinion about best practices and media conundrums (forums? comments? something else? sandbox)

·      Collaborative workspace: for internal organizing and ideation (documents developed in wiki and published to site) has pw but anyone can get one (wiki, google docs?)
