True North Media House Meeting Minutes

Priorities:

1.    Business Plan completed, with budget

2.    Website completed and launched

3.    Launch party, July 25th

ACTIONS:

*Everyone: Please have a look over the business plan draft. We need to flesh it out and clean it up a bit. This is a priority so we can get going on sponsors and legal. Due: Weds. July 8^th.

*Nadia and Dario: Draft budget for the business plan. Due: Weds. July 8^th.

*Dave: organize work party for Sunday to finish website and launch. Even if we  have just contact info, mandate and parts of the business plan on it, we need to have a web presence in order to going on the next steps. Due: ASAP. Site launch due: Weds. July 8^th.

*Dave / Nadia: delegate someone at the Sunday work party to get started on OK Sponsor Me Spring stuff. Details below. Due: Sunday, July 5^th. Video Due @OK: There doesn’t appear to be a due date/draw date, but if we want it to be for the party on the 25^th, there is very little turnaround.

*Kris: Site update of your visit to W2. Due: Weds. July 8^th.

* Kris: Update of meeting with Dr. Andy Meia. Are there any takeaways for us? Due: Weds. July 8^th.

*Everyone: Take a look at the sponsorship saleable items doc I sent out and let me know if you have any ideas to add to it. Due: no due date, low priority at this time.

NOTES:

* Party on July 25^th, hopefully at Workspace to announce our mandate, business plan and website launch. We will need to have some promo available for media and guests that should help with getting sponsors. This will be our first pre-event, so we should look at getting sponsors for it. OK Sponsor Me Spring is a possibility - http://www.sponsormespring.ca/osb/ - and would provide beer, press, film crew, etc. Nadia is involved and can consult, but we need to get on this fast. I have registered an account with the site [TrueNorthMediaHouse] so the next step is to make a short video about our event. We can possibly use some of the footage from this meeting.

*Nadia has a potential legal sponsor, Blake’s. She will approach them when we have a completed business plan and site launched.

*We should look at having digital registration and OS boot files tied to a USB key with an RFID. Should be added to the sponsor menu doc.
