Question: Robert - who is the contact at the PR agency? I'd like to get a sense of what tasks they can commit to and learn about their point of view

Committee Assignments:
Web site planning - Andrea (pnts) - generate list of requirements for an organizational administrative website to replace wiki/group as a planning tool as well as a public face to future participants, curious onlookers (list already started and pasted below) Web development - Ianiv S - create technical plan for website based on requirements and assist in mustering and supervising developers/designers to effectuate plan to build web presence Copywriting - Dave + Dennis (or James Sherret?) - I love the copywriting but seek a collaborator with a great editing eye and gentle and diplomatic tone - dennis is this you? or someone else wanna step up and spin some magic? First task is the "core values/positioning statement" then an announcement - i have drafts of both (core values below - please comment before i craft) PR Messaging distribution - Colleen - once we have an announcement created, distribute it to online and offline media outlets in various forms, maintain select channel and triage media inquires Web content curator - Jess Sloss - wrangle all the content related to this project and maintain canonical versions in an obsessively organized manner and establish best practices for tagging and sharing content Media maker Resources - Rebecca B. + ? + ? - i envision this as the person who creates materials to keep social media makers out of trouble (wallet card with IOC and Vanoc publishing guidelines (incl. copyright and trademark info, and/or wallet card with Canadian and BC civil liberty laws legal resources and contact numbers) Liaison - Jenn Lowther - we will need help and coordination with the Operations and Partner committees plus someone who will actively seek volunteers to do specialized tasks (i.e. build web) Big picture - David Brodie - someone to add tasks and PR vision beyond my scope to the to-do list and then figure out ways to complete said tasks with wisdom and tact Photo resource - Ben - assemble a quality, CC licenced photo pool of stock venue and Vancouver sights photos in Flickr and onsite plus photographer resources for Vancouver Needed: Graphic design czar - design (or supervise/acquire) logo and set brand graphic styles and standards and create collateral (one pagers, signage, cards) as needed
Project wrangler - someone who loves calendars and timelines and is great at following up with peeps to ensure tasks move along (not really my thing)
Web awesom-izer - first we’ll set up a simple operational CMS but once closer to the games we may explore more neat tools to coordinate activites and manage members etc so this person will triage and sort web ideas beyond the basics
