I am married to Prof. (Dr.) Prahlad Vadakkepat, and we have a son, Vishnu. 

I have done my BA, MA and BEd in Sanskrit.

I like cooking and swimming. I have been learning Carnatic (Indian) music till lately in Singapore. I have performed with my teacher and colleagues in various temples in Singapore.
