Well, after getting the ssop adapters and spending an entire evening trying to solder one of my dm132 chips to it, I've discovered that the chips seem not to be standard ssop 28!!  The "legs" are not wide enough, in the ssop 28 standard it says the minimum chip width and minimum width including the legs is 5mm and 7.4mm respectively, but the dm132 is 4mm wide and 6.7mm! So the adapters do not work!
