There are plenty of ways you can help. Plus this is a perfect way to
wow those admission boards and beef up your resume. As of right now we
have four different positions available and we are speaking about

The Treasurer is responsible for conservation of the treasury and for generating
income for the club, whether this be through pricing of a product,
organizing sponsorship or arranging fundraising events. This requires a lot of organization and creativity.
The treasurer would also be part of the group which would oversee
how the money is spent, either directly dictating expenditure or
authorizing it as required. It is their responsibility to ensure that
the organization has enough money to carry out their goals and
objectives, and that they do not overspend, or underspend. They also
report to the club the financial status of the organization
to ensure checks and balances. The treasurer will perform all other duties as called upon by the president and vice president.
The historian/ secretary will maintain a historical record of the club events and leadership including dates, times, and pictures. The historian/ secretary will work with the public relations officers to create an end of year presentation of club activities that may be used to promote club membership. The historian/ secretary is to work close with the President and Vice President to
ensure that the website, blog, and all other publications are up to
date. It is the responsibility of the historian/ secretary to be able use word
processing, spreadsheet and other clerical programs. The historian/ secretary will perform all other duties as called upon by the president and vice president.
- PUBLIC RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE:
The Public Relations Representative (PR-Rep) is in charge of the flow
of information between an organization and its public. The PR Rep aims
to gain the club positive exposure to
their key population (UVU students and Utah Valley County), while
downplaying any negative exposures.
Common activities include speaking at meetings, working with the press
(The College Times) and club member communications. The public relations rep will perform all other duties as called upon by the president and vice president.
The responsibility of the service committee chair is to research
opportunities where the club can make a difference in the community.
This can be done as a collaboration between other clubs, organizations
or even universities (PRE-PASO, Pre-PA Student Organization of the
UofU). The goal of this position is to get our club to make a difference, that is why we have chosen this profession in the first place. The service committee chair will perform all other duties as called upon by the president and vice president.
