Buddhist Path

Join Eva each week on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the balcony for meditation, walking meditation and discussion of Buddhist topics. All are welcome.
The Unitarian Universalist Society of Black Hawk County sponsors the Buddhist Path Meditation.  The group meets for the purpose of  discussing the Dharma (buddhist teachings) or issues surrounding Buddhism.  We also regularly pick a book to read pertinent to Buddhism, followed by some chanting.  The meeting ends with about a half-hour of silent meditation (with instruction for novices).

This is a great group to invite a friend or neighbor to, someone who might enjoy having a place to come meditate.   If Thursdays don't work for you, we also meet the third Sunday of each month at Second Hour.   Come explore the living dharma with us.

The group also meets once a month on the third Sunday of the month, during Adult Sunday School (11:15am).  This meeting is usually an informal introduction to Buddhist Dharma.

NEW!!   Buddhist Movie night

New this fall, on Fourth Fridays, will be a Buddhist Movie Night.   Socializing and popcorn making at 6:30 p.m., with the movie starting promptly at 7:00 p.m.  It should be lots of fun as well as thought provoking! Ralph Burr and Thos Sumner will be hosting this event.
